Collage

In preparation for an off-campus exhibition students explored collage techniques.

Introductory lessons included challenges such as:

No glue, no tape and no scissors to encourage students to break out of the more familiar methods.

Painted Selfies

Starting with phone selfies, students learned the proportions of the face and ranges of value, then using the grid technique created a self-portrait in grayscale.
