My Artwork

My own artwork reflects my varied interests.  Much of my work stems from my own personal experiences which I then translate into art. I enjoy trying new art forms, media and approaches.

 A Language of Pain

Following my personal experience with chronic pain, I have been expoloring how to express the feelings of pain through non-figurative sculpture. The sculptures represent how pain can distort us, whilst the supporting photographs convey the feelings of being pain. The different tools used and the variety of forms that result reflect the different types of pain that can be felt.

I plan to pursue this further by working with health practitioners to develop a collection of images that help those in pain to communicate their experiences more clearly.
